Fitri Oktaviani is an Australia Award scholar in 2017-2020. Her area of research is in women leadership discourse, especially looking at the challenges faced by women leaders and their strategies to enhance their careers. She is also interested in the change in old and new leadership discourse and the context surrounding it. Fitri Oktaviani is also a member of the faculty at the Department of Communication, Brawijaya University, Indonesia.

Women Leadership Discourse
The research examines the problems of underrepresentation of women leaders at organisations, the discourses that promote and hinder it, and aspiring women leaders’ strategies to enhance their leadership position.
